Der First-Pass-Effekt

Der First-Pass-Effekt beschreibt den präsystemischen Abbau von Wirkstoffen, bevor sie nach der Aufnahme im Blutkreislauf ankommen. Besonders relevant ist er bei oraler Einnahme, weil Blut aus dem Darm zuerst zur Leber fließt und dort metabolisiert wird. Je stärker der Effekt, desto geringer die Bioverfügbarkeit und desto wichtiger sind Dosierung, Einnahmeweg und mögliche Wechselwirkungen.
